Youth Program Facilitator (Formerly know as PEYA Coordinator)


Susana Goncalves

Susana loves working with youth! She believes that youth have power to create change in their communities, and strives to help guide youth in their action and participation in environmental matters. Susana has been very involved in environmental stewardship and education activities in Peel Region throughout the years. She loves getting out there and getting her hands dirty! Susana has a Bachelor in Environmental Studies degree from York University. While at York, she focused her studies on environmental education and community arts practice. As the Youth Program Facilitator, Susana will coordinate the PEYA program and assist the PEYA Executive Council in planning events. She is excited to help equip youth with the knowledge they need to become environmental stewards within their own communities and schools. In her spare time, you can find Susana hiking along Ontario’s beautiful trails, traveling the world, playing soccer, reading by a fire, or cooking delicious plant-based foods.
