From January 21-24, 2022, the Peel Environmental Youth Alliance (PEYA) will be hosting our first ever, virtual case competition, ‘Breaking Climate Barriers: A Design Challenge Exploring Climate Change Innovations.’
During this 2-day event, youth in grades 7-12 will be challenged to collaborate and come up with a creative solution to a local environmental issue in Peel. The case study for which participants will be designing a solution will be announced on Day 1 of the event and will be based on one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (https://sdgs.un.org/goals). On Day 2, teams will deliver a presentation (5 minutes max) on their proposed solution, which will be scored by judges with expertise in areas such as business, engineering and science. The winning team will be rewarded a GRAND PRIZE and will be featured on the PEYA website!
